Mayonie Open Air is bringing its signature celebration of Afro-house to Johannesburg this November, assembling an impressive lineup of some of South Africa and the continent’s most respected names in electronic music.
Taking place on 29 November 2026 in Johannesburg, the highly anticipated edition promises a full day of Afro-house, Afrotech and dancefloor energy, bringing together established favourites, influential selectors and some of the genre’s most exciting names under one roof.
Leading the charge is international Afro-house powerhouse Themba, joined by a heavyweight lineup that includes Da Capo, B2B, Enoo Napa, Oscar Mbo B2B Ciza, Simmy, Thandi Draai, Crazy White Boy, Samurai, Privacii, Jazzworx and Thukuthela, as well as Zakes Bantwini.
The back-to-back sets are set to be among the day’s biggest moments, with Da Capo and Enoo Napa bringing two distinct Afro-house sounds together, while Oscar Mbo and Ciza are expected to deliver a high-energy meeting of deep, soulful and contemporary house.
With a lineup that moves seamlessly between Afro-house, Afrotech and soulful electronic sounds, Mayonie Open Air is designed for music lovers who want more than a festival; it is an experience built around music, culture, connection and the evolution of African sound.
For Mayonie Productions, the event continues the brand’s ambition to create spaces where African electronic music can be experienced at scale while bringing together established artists and the next generation of talent.
“Mayonie Open Air is about creating a space where the music speaks for itself. We want people to come together, discover something new, celebrate the artists they love and experience the energy of Afro-house in its many forms,” says Zakes Bantwini, founder of Mayonie Productions.
Following the success and growing momentum of the Mayonie Open Air platform, the Johannesburg edition marks another significant chapter for the brand as it continues to expand its footprint and champion the evolution of Afro-house.
With Themba, Da Capo, Enoo Napa, Oscar Mbo, Ciza, Simmy, Thandi Draai, Crazy White Boy, Samurai, Privacii, Jazzworx, Thukuthela and Zakes Bantwini all on one lineup, Johannesburg can expect a serious day of music, movement and unforgettable moments.
