Zebra Lodge offers diverse entertainment for everyone

Reading Time: 2 minutes

The natural setting north-east of Pretoria boasts an alluring natural environment, thanks to a mismash of nature reserves and game farms found there. One of the reserves here is the home of Zebra Country Lodge.
This establishment can be reached via the R573 (Moloto Rd). But before one takes the turnoff to the north, the Zebra lodge cannot be seen from the road notorious for its accidents as it is hidden away in a lush bushveld. This tranquil environment, only 30 km from Pretoria, is blessed with an attractive landscape drained by a myriad of streams.
The accommodation is offered through three unique venues, namely the Mountain Lodge, Zebra Stables and the Bush Lodge.
Mountain Lodge
The luxury accommodation and executive suites, set in beautiful gardens, offer splendid views of the far-off hills. Mountain Lodge is criss-crossed with gurgling streams and rock features. The lodge offers double/twin rooms equipped with tea/coffee station, minibar, ceiling fan and hairdryer. Total number of rooms: 26.
Zebra Stables
Activities such as fishing or rowing can be enjoyed, as well as a visit to the Ndebele Cultural Village and the Shebeen where themed events and corporate functions are held. The Stables offer double/twin rooms equipped with tea/coffee station, minibar, ceiling fan and hairdryer. Total number of rooms: 20.
Bush Lodge
Bush Lodge offers stylish thatched accommodation in a natural setting, surrounded by lush indigenous trees. The lodge offers an informal dining area and boma, conference facilities and a swimming pool. Double/twin rooms are available and all rooms are equipped with tea/coffee station, minibar, ceiling fan and hairdryer. All other facilities Zebra Country Lodge offers guests are situated in close proximity. Total number of rooms: 17.
Activities at the Zebra are diverse and, like accommodation types, are also divided into three categories – Leisure, Adventure and Cultural.
For leisure, the visitors can choose any activity from nature drive, bush walk, massage therapies, outdoor chess and volleyball.
Adventure activities include Big 5 game drive in neighbouring Dinokeng Game Reserve, fishing, kayaking and hot air ballooning.
Lastly, cultural experience can be had through the authentic Ndebele village, marimba band, shebeen and interactive drumming.
There are more irregular and surprise activities to be experienced during special occasions on certain weekends, public holidays and holiday seasons. For more info about the Zebra Country Lodge call 012 735 9000.
