The hard work, perseverance and determination have paid off for all who were involved in the Women in Praise project.
The Women in Praise project was successfully recorded on May 9 following an extensive nationwide search for a talented Swazi lady to join up with other artists under Spirit Music group in SA.
Nothando Hlophe emerged victorious in the auditions and joined up with SA counterparts Zaza Mokhethi, Kate Nyamende and Kgomotso Kgomongwe for the Women in Praise recording.
She will also be part of the Spirit of Praise live recording in 2016. Women in Praise finally got rewarded when they were recently announced as the nominees for the Best Traditional Faith Album. It was a dream come true as the journey began long time ago. Speaking to Precious, who is one of the members of the group she mentioned Pastor Benjamin Dube as the one who groomed them to be where they are today.” It was not an easy journey but lot of people played a huge role to assist us. Also Zaza Mokgethi, was instrumental in shaping our dream”. Women of Praise are due to perform at Umlazi Cinema on the 3rd of June and calls upon their fans to come in numbers and witness the group before the SAMA awards.
