February in Mzansi is also known as the Month of love.
However finding one or falling in love seems to be one challenge many people are faced with on daily basis
But Sisterhood is a social club based in Kekana Gardens is just one organization that has shown some lots of love to its own members through thick and thin.
And for the first time their love for each other came into play, the day death claimed one of them many years ago , though they all felt the deep pain of loosing a friend at that time ,but they also came up with a plan which today has since kept them together in happiness and death.
And today, what was the plan back then is an organization known as Sisterhood and it has grown from 10 to 27 members since 2015 when it was established.
Speaking to one of the co-founders Pulane Tawana she said :” I am proud to associate myself with Sisterhood
It has impowered us as members we have learn to face challenges head on.
However we learnt the hard way and this was after we lost one of ours back then we did jot have an arrangement like this one, so later we then decided to start the organization so that in future death find us ready too, “she mentioned
The club meet once a Month and contribute cash towards their savings account.
This contributions include contribution towards a burial incase of death within their organization each member is covered and another portion goes to transport fees for members to use it during funerals .
Pulane said :”We have learnt from our own mistakes but now that we have learn a lesson, we are also happy that we can help bury one another as friends.
And these makes us proud as friends to have come with such a plan, we are for each other today and even tomorrow, our friendship is for life and death.”
The club has year end event for team building purposes and plan to start a catering company in future
