House of Treasures Ministries has launched its 2025 Christmas Food Drive, led by its newly rebranded outreach arm, the Valley of Hope Foundation. This annual initiative is already underway and aims to bring relief, dignity, and joy to vulnerable families across southern Johannesburg during the festive season.
The Christmas Food Drive invites community members, partners, and supporters to donate essential items such as maize meal, canned foods, cooking oil, and other staples. Contributions will directly support households facing heightened economic and social pressures at this time of year. For many families, these donations provide not just nourishment, but a renewed sense of community and hope.
The food drive has become a cherished tradition for House of Treasures Ministries, strengthening bonds between volunteers and the communities they serve. Each year, the initiative grows in reach and impact, reflecting the ministry’s deep-seated commitment to consistent, practical support for its surrounding communities.
The Valley of Hope Foundation carries forward the legacy of Pastor Hester Okoh, the late co-founder of House of Treasures Ministries and beloved first wife of Apostle Felix Okoh. Her unwavering generosity and passion for community upliftment continue to inspire the ministry’s work today.
Pastor Hester, who passed away in 2021 after a courageous four-year battle with cancer, dedicated her life to helping the vulnerable through food and clothing programmes. Her story and servant-hearted spirit are captured in her memoir, The Valley of Hope, which remains the heartbeat behind the foundation’s mission.
In line with strengthening its outreach capacity, House of Treasures Ministries has officially rebranded its community arm from iCare to the Valley of Hope Foundation. The new name reflects the ministry’s desire to offer an even stronger, more transparent platform for coordinating support efforts and mobilising resources.
The rebrand signals a renewed focus on visibility, structure, and long-term sustainability—ensuring that the foundation’s impact continues to expand year after year.
The Valley of Hope Foundation is guided by Apostle Felix Okoh, Founder of House of Treasures Ministries, and Pastor Bulelwa Okoh, Head of Special Programmes and Initiatives. Under their leadership, the ministry enters this festive season united in mission and strengthened by a legacy built on compassion, service, and unwavering hope.
