Kelly Mc Erlaine is best described as an ambitious and dedicated individual who has a flair for creating incredibly delicious baked goods! Since graduating from high school, Kelly has amassed a wealth of experience and six short years later joined the acclaimed InterContinental Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport hotel as the new Junior Sous Chef Pastry.Fresh out of high school, Kelly enrolled at the HTA School of Culinary Art and received a Diploma in Culinary Art and Food Preparation in 2010. During her two years practical experience, as part of her course with HTA, she honed her skills at some of the finest establishments in Johannesburg.Continuously striving to improve her education and skills Kelly entered, and was voted a finalist, in the 2009 Philadelphia Young Chef Challenge and achieved third place at the Nestlè Maggi Mash competition. All this in her very first year of training!In 2011 Kelly joined Salon de Culinary, a boutique cake establishment as the Chef de Partie and won the Nestlè Golden Chefs Hat competition.Kelly has a bright future ahead of her and if the last six years has set the tone for the future, then we are sure to hear much about Kelly Mc Erlaine.
