17 year old Thobile Amon, one of the HPC Academy students sponsored by Bestmed Medical Scheme, scooped the Cross Country Female Athlete of the Year Award at the 2016 Annual Athletics Gauteng North (AGN) Awards. The AGN Awards, which took place at Utopia Place in Willow Glen earlier this month, recognises top athletes in the country.
Thobile also participates in track and field (1500m and 3000m respectively) and will be representing AGN at the SA Championships this coming weekend. She was also nominated for Overall Female Athlete of the Year award.
