For three days in April love in all its shapes, forms and hues will be celebrated at the inaugural The Love Festival.
It’s time to give love a chance as like-minded individuals gather at Shades of Summer Boutique Hotel, Centurion West for a romantic getaway open to couples and singles – anybody who believes in love, has found love or is looking for love.
The three day extravaganza will be themed and packed with a detailed programme for each day and will include music, comedy, poetry, talks, relationship clinics, a gala dinner, red carpet, an awards ceremony, devotion, a treasure hunt and a picnic.
Day 1. Friday, 6 April 2018
Flames of Fun Night: It will be a laid back evening of laughter, dancing to good romantic tunes over a scrumptious dinner featuring Masechaba Ndlovu as MC, comedian Ditsebe.com, crooner Karabo Mogane and songstress Mmatema Moremi .
Day 2. Saturday, 7 April 2018
Some of South Africa’s finest relationship experts will be under one roof as they dispense their pearls of wisdom regarding the secrets to long lasting relationships, tips, and pointers to keeping the flames burning at home. The interactions will be in the forms of relationship clinics to address issues of sex, dating, blended families, Finances, divorce as well as how to navigate baby mama/daddy dramas and many other day to day issues.
The evening will be marked by a glittering black tie gala dinner at which 10 exemplary couples will be honoured. They will be told: Kudos Lovebirds aided by DeeVha with her amazing poetry along side the song birds Bongi & Collin! This is the time to thank them for inspiring us & standing the test of time. The couples have been identified from various walks of life and professions such as health, the arts, music, film and business to name but a few categories. The likes of Tonny & Sthandiwe Kgorore, Dr Eva & Dr Jacob Seobi a young couple Jesica & Spiwo Moleoa will be among the 10 couples be honored for keeping the marriage lamp burning.
Day 3. Sunday, 8 April 2018
The last day of the festival will kick off with a short devotion in the morning and a reflection on the spiritual side of relationships before some fun and games for our guests. There will be a treasure hunt by 50 couples who will only be announced after the devotion. The hunt will bring its own twists and turns, surprises and thrills to keep the hunters on their toes. There will be lots of prizes to be given away.
The day will end with an all white picnic and after-party where the revellers will kick back, relax and network after the eventful and exciting three days. On the decks winding matters down will be the popular DJ Thabo Mokwele.
