The Dan Nicholl Show, made for you by BrightRock, debuts for a fifth season.
With another season of celebrity guests, big-name sports stars and entertaining misadventures around the world, The Dan Nicholl Show returns to SuperSport as season five of the talk show kicks off on Wednesday, 5th April 2017.
The combination of sports guests with stars from other walks of life has made for a successful formula, and the four seasons to date have gathered a strong following for the show, which will continue its hour-long format with host Dan Nicholl.
The show, which celebrated its 50th episode during season four, will continue in the new studio that debuted last season, when guests including Minnie Dlamini, Bakkies Botha, Bryan Habana, Faf du Plessis, Elana Meyer and Allister Coetzee all made appearances.
Dan also explored New York, tried out weightlifting with comedian Jason Goliath, had a boxing match with pop star Ronan Keating, and caught up with a galaxy stars at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at St. Andrews in Scotland, in the weekly insert that the show features. For season five, look out for a fly-fishing trip to the Seychelles, highlights of the Snow Bike Festival in Switzerland, and Dan’s largely unsuccessful introduction to ice-skating.

There’ll also be a wide range of guests on the show once again, with 100 metre sprinter Akani Simbine, musicians Jack Parow and Danny K, comedian Eugene Khoza and footballer Benni McCarthy amongst the early confirmations for season five.

“To have reached a fifth season, with number six to follow later this year, is wonderful, although I still can’t quite believe we’ve come this far,” admits Nicholl, the show’s host and executive producer. “I get to hang out with cool people once a week and have fun with them, so I couldn’t have a better job.”

The Dan Nicholl Show is once again honoured to have life insurance provider, BrightRock on board as its headline partner.

“In addition, we have terrific partners in BrightRock and SuperSport; together, we’re going to produce what I hope will be the best series of the show yet,” said Nicholl.

Filmed in front of an intimate studio audience, BrightRock’s #LoveChange showcase will continue to feature some very special gifts from the shows guests.

Suzanne Stevens, BrightRock executive marketing director said: “We’re very pleased to partner with The Dan Nicholl Show for a fifth season. At BrightRock, we #LoveChange because it is in the willingness to welcome change that we are able to find the opportunities it presents – especially when it relates to those big game-changing moments of change that we all go through in life, like landing that job, starting a family, tying the knot and buying a home. Since we love talking about loving change, we also love the conversations Dan has with his iconic line-up of guests. Through them, we are able to explore and share experiences of loving change, from the serious to the light-hearted and downright fun.”
