The countdown has begun for Hyundai Rock the Run

The countdown has begun. Hyundai Rock the Run powered by Jacaranda FM, is just two weeks to away! Gearing up to the race, runners and music lovers are getting ready to run the race and rock the road with over 15 music acts along the route, as well as an incredible post-race concert featuring Mi Casa, Prime Circle, Me and Mr Brown and The Sextons.
Taking place on Sunday, 6 March 2016 at Mushroom Farm Park in Sandton, Hyundai Rock the Run also will be handing over a donation on the day (raised by a portion of ticket sale proceeds) to a non-profit organisation and official 2016 Hyundai Rock the Run charity partner, the Music Enlightenment Project (MEP).
In addition to bringing a superb fusion of music and athletics to the city of Johannesburg, Hyundai Rock the Run has partnered with various local schools that promise to provide a rocking soundtrack to thousands of participants who will be running, jogging or dancing along the route. With support from St David’s Marist Inanda, Redhill School, Crawford College Sandton, Kingsmead College, St. Benedict’s Catholic School and Global House of Music, the school bands are excited to deliver a high quality musical experience to all race participates.
Music lovers, friends and family can also join the fun at the picturesque Mushroom Farm Park, which offers a beer garden, a champagne area, sun cream section, a kiddie’s fun corner and a second to none post-race concert for a fee of just R120.00.

Tickets for the 5km and 10km run are R170.00 and R230.00 respectively and these prices include entrance to the concert. Plus, the first 6000 race entrants will receive a free Asics technical running shirt.
