The 5th Annual Phalaphala FM Royal Gardens Festival launches in style

Royal Gardens is set to host the hottest annual heritage festival and The 5th installment will be taking place on the 10th of September in celebration of one of heritage month.
After 4 years of successfully of hosting this event, The Phalaphalal FM Royal Heritage Festival launched in style at Cocoon Lounge in Sandton. The lineup that everybody has been waiting for was revealed and some guest performances took place.
As anyone who has attended the festival in the past, the line up is bigger than before; bringing you showstoppers like Thandiswa Mazwai & Nathi. Without forgetting our heritage, we have the legendary Shwi No Mtekhala and Alick Macheso amongst others.

The celebrations will be taking place in Nandoni Dam situated by the Luvuvhu River which follows a course along the southern edge of the Zoutpansberg and joins the Limpopo River in the far northern corner of the Kruger National Park on the border between South Africa, Zimbabwe and Mozambique.

The Phalaphala FM Royal Heritage Festival 2016 will host a walk with King Toni MPHEPHU Ramabulana, musangwe (A knuckle fist fight mostly practiced in Venda) and a music workshop prior to the main festival following last year’s successful events.
SABC’s Phalaphala FM teamed up with The Royal Gardens to bring you the 5th installment of the Royal Heritage Festival that was inaugurated in 2012.
With an expected turnout of 15 000-21 000 people, this music festival will bring out SA’s crème de la crème artists who will cater to every market.
The Phalaphala FM Royal Heritage Festival will provide the province with an opportunity to unify its citizens and their neighbouring countries to celebrate the rich cultural heritage and promote tourism in the province, elevating the level of growing excitement amongst young adults, emerging business individuals, students and tourist enthusiasts.
Patrons and invited guests will enjoy great music supplied by a host of ingenious South African talent including artists from Venda to promote local talent. So avoid being left behind and join the festivities as they head to Royal Gardens. Tickets are already on sale at Computicket. Take advantage of the early-bird special where you can purchase your tickets at R150 before 1st August and thereafter they will be R180.
