Bestmed has officially become the title
sponsor of The Cycling Club now known as The Bicycle Company Bestmed Club
(TBC Bestmed Club). Both TBC and Bestmed are looking forward to a mutual
and beneficial relationship.This new partnership is an expansion of the current wellness strategy that
Bestmed has. It focuses on wellness through sport and activity, which
should result in a healthier South Africa.
“Over the years the Scheme has noticed an escalation in claims related to
non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. Research has
shown that an active lifestyle does decrease the risk of getting lifestyle
related diseases and in some cases reduces the progressiveness of such
illnesses.” Says Bestmed’s Corporate Communications manager Sasja La Grange.
There will be launches held across the TBC branches, respectively
Centurion, Lynnwood and at the Tuks sport grounds. At these launches the
new cycling shirts will be launched as well as a formal welcome to the new
club sponsor Bestmed. If you would like to register to be part of the TBC Bestmed Club or haven’t
yet, you can do so on the following days at the launches:
· 19 February 2015 at Centurion TBC;
· 20 February 2015 at Lynnwood TBC;
· And 21 February 2015 at the Tuks sport grounds.
Bestmed will continue to expand its footprint in South African cycling
through its sponsorship of key races on the national calendar and
supporting local racing teams.
