Suzuki Auto South Africa is gearing up for a charity drive with a difference. The company is calling on all owners of Suzuki cars and motorcycles to create a giant Suzuki logo as part of a campaign to raise funds for animal welfare.
The historic attempt will also mark the first time that Suzuki embarks on an endeavour of this nature in South Africa. And while the logo will be made up of Suzukis only, owners of other cars are welcome to attend the day, and to support a good cause in the process.
To complete the giant logo, more than 1 700 Suzuki cars and bikes are required, and Suzuki is hoping that at least that many Suzuki owners will be prepared to attend the unique attempt at The Wedge Outdoor Park on Beyers Naudé Drive in Muldersdrift, north-west of Johannesburg, on October 25.
For just R100 per vehicle, Suzuki car and bike owners keen on supporting a worthy cause can enjoy a fun family day with a difference. In addition to creating the giant Suzuki logo, the event will offer a beer garden, country market, live music and a children’s playground.
All proceeds of the day will be donated to animal welfare charities, including Friends Of Rescued Animals (FORA) and Community-Led Animal Welfare (CLAW).
Sponsors supporting the charity event include Terracam UAVs, GreenSolution by Pandae, MapAfrika and SOS ProTec.
The charity drive runs from 10h00 until 15h00 on 25 October at The Wedge Outdoor Park, on Beyers Naudé Drive between the Casalinga Restaurant and the Oakfield Farm. The GPS co-ordinates are: -26.037643, 27.880653.
