Reigning Mrs South Africa, Sarah-Kate Scott was crowned as the first runner-up in Mrs Universe 2015 held in Minsk, Belarus this past weekend, with Mrs Canada taking the title.
Mrs South Africa (Pty) Ltd has had a record breaking year on the international stage with Scott placing as first runner-up in both the Mrs World and Mrs Universe Pageants and Riana Mooi (Mrs South Africa first princess 2015) winning the Mrs Globe title in China last year.

“We are incredibly proud of both these women who have flown the Mrs South African flag so high,” said Joani Johnson, CEO of Mrs South Africa.

The theme for this year’s Mrs Universe pageant was domestic violence. Scott directed and featured in her own short film titled ‘feel? ‘which she presented to the other 59 contestants earlier this week, as the ladies were given time to educate each other about domestic violence in their own countries and share ideas of how to empower and educate other women around the world.

Scott’s national costume for Mrs Universe 2015 was a lace African print dress designed by SA designer, Dennis Lloyd Design (Crystal Lace), which she wore for the Mrs Universe 2015 Parade of the Nations and her evening gown was designed by talented SA designer, Anel Botha.

“I am very happy with my performance at the pageant. While it would have been great to have brought home the overall title, I feel that I have made South Africa extremely proud by being crowned first princess,” concludes Scott.
