Jessica Mbangeni, would have been oversees by now but she put her plans on hold in order to attend the SAMA 22. it is a dream come true when you get invitation to go abroad and represent your country but Jessica put her country of birth first hence she turned down an offer of going oversees during the SAMA weekend. “i feel honoured when my work is recognized here at home. When you are nominated with giants in the same category you automatically becomes a winner”. Stokvel Talk took time to speak to Jessica who is nominated for Best African Adult Album category and she revealed why she really want to win this award.” i want to dedicate the award to the late Victor Ntoni who played a major role in assisting me to achieve my dreams in the music industry. Bra Victor would have been very proud to see me achieving my goals.It wont be easy for Jessica to scoop the award as she is nominated with the best in the industry amongst them Plaatjies”.
