IT is that time of the year wherein the musicians and music lovers get ready as the South African Music Awards (SAMA) take centre stage. Stokvel Talk took time to interview one of the nominees, the Hip Hop artis Ifani who opened his heart out for us.
The Hip Hop rapper said that he was extremely excited about this nomination and was positive that he will definitely walk away with the award come June 4.
“This nomination on its own is a prove that one is doing things right and it’s a good thing to be noticed and recognized,” said Ifani who has been nominated among other top artist such as Caspper Nyovest , Ricky Rick and Jack Parrow.
This year the SAMAS has been moved from the usual host venue, Sun City to Durban.
Should he win, the rapper from Eastern Cape said he will dedicate this award to the people, especially the young people who would want to follow his foot steps.
“These are he people who supported me and they have carried me through in my early days of my music career, and dedicating this award if I win will definitely make them feel proud of their own,” said Ifani whose next move is to make a Global Tour before releasing two more albums.
“I am planning on doing a global tour this year as part of repositioning myself to the world so that they can know what I am made off,” concluded Ifani.
