The time that we’ve been waiting for has finally arrived. All music fans in South Africa probably diarized the 04 June 2016 since the announcement that the 22 edition of the South African Music Awards will be held on that day at Durban ICC. We are practically counting few days before the big day. Stokvel Talk took time to speak to South African Music Awards Chairman Thobela Dlamin who promised that the preparations are at an advanced stage. Thobela is a well known personality in the music industry as he worked closely with Dj Tira as a business manager for Afrotainment stable. “Its all systems go as we are wrapping the preparations. By the end of the day ,flights and accomodation would have been secured. The programme directors will be announced next week but the deal is signed and sealed”. Dlamini told us that Durban will be buzz next week as they are planning to host 05 pre parties in and around durban including Kwamashu, Umlazi etc. They will also host golf day on friday a day before the actual event. ” Those who have money can able to attend all the events on the day, referring to the main event and also the public viewing area as they secured top artist to perform at the PVA”.
