Tendai “The Beast” Mtawarira, South Africa’s celebrated Rugby Champion, together with his foundation (The Beast Foundation) recently visited the Rural Community of Umgababa in KwaZulu Natal on Saturday, 18 June to help the families that were impacted by the floods recently. With a lot of families staying in temporary shelters, Tendai hopes that we can all bring back dignity to our people and help the mothers to bring dignity to their families.
“The Beast” said: “The Beast Foundation is committed to such initiatives and through our partners, we will always get involved. Our vision as the foundation is to build Africa and we urge all to get involved when people need help so that we can continue to Unite and Build our communities.”
Banothile, a young woman who looks after her blind mother and young children in her family, shared the struggles that they go through every day when she came and collected a food parcel and a blanket for her family. Two young Mkhize sisters, who stay with a small child in a room with three walls, a small window and a garage door for access, also shared some of the indignity a lot of families have suffered. We cannot look away, we need to get involved.
