Benoni residents, Lisa and Joe de Carvalho with light heavyweight boxing star, Ryno “The Lion” Liebenberg of Krugersdorp, at the “Christmas Cracker” Box ‘n Dine tournament at Emperors Palace on Tuesday evening, December 1. The trio, along with hundreds of other boxing fans, watched Paul Kamanga beat Roman Zhailauov of Kazakhstan with a TKO in the fifth round to win the WBA Pan-African Welterweight belt in the headline bout of the tournament, the final boxing event of the year at the Palace of Dreams.
