In February 2019, African Star Communications announced a promotion for SMME’S, offering PR services at a reduced cost under a three-month contract. Two weeks later, we are pleased to welcome personal care brand, The Timmy Care co. as our first official client under this promotion.
The Timmy Care co., an eco-friendly brand for the conscious consumer, was launched in January 2019. The brand offers plant-based body care products, specifically formulated to cleanse and compliment the female body. ‘Timmy’ is a play on the word ‘intimate’ used with the intent to drive awareness around what women place on their body.
Noligwa Jansson, founder of The Timmy Care co. recognised how harsh some products are harsh on the female body and skin, such as- intimate care products that are harsh on the vagina, leaving women feeling irritated and dried out. Noligwa saw this problem as an opportunity to start her business venture, which has introduced its first offering, an intimate plant-based care product that cleanses the intimate area without any harsh side effects. The Timmy Care co. plans to launch three other personal care products, a face and body soap bar as well as a multi-oil (for body, scalp and face) which will all consist of plant-based ingredients.
“I believe a greater recognition of all parts of our bodies is essential towards self-care. The over-sexualisation of the female form has contributed to women distancing themselves from relating to their bodies in a caring way.” says Noligwa.
A product range with vibrant and eye-catching packaging, The Timmy Care co., celebrates personal care with products that offer simple, yet effective solutions intended for daily use. The Timmy Care co. intentionally offers a full package of personal care that is derived from plant-based ingredients. The brands products are free from parabens, petrochemicals, animal ingredients, synthetic fragrances and colourants.
African Star Communication will be managing all press and publicity on behalf of The Timmy Care co., with a focus on achieving increased brand awareness and engagement. Further to the PR service, African Star Communications will manage The Timmy Care co.’s social media pages across Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
