Motswako rapper thrilled by Sama nomination

Twenty three-year-old Fifi Cooper from Mahikeng in the North West is a rising star in the South African music industry.
Cooper, whose real name is Refilwe Mooketsi, hails from the dusty township of Montshiwa.
The rapper got two nominations for the upcoming SAMA awards, which are the Best Produced Album and the Best Female Album.
Fifi Cooper was thrust into the spotlight in 2010 after releasing her single Chechella Morao which caused a buzz in the local rap fraternity. Stokvel Talk took time to speak to the Motswako rapper and told us that she is just excited to be nominated in the big awards ceremony taking place on the 04 June 2016. Amongst the other musicians nominated in her category she mentioned Zahara and Nathi as the toughest opponents. “It wont be easy as im nominated alongside heavyweights in the music industry but also excited to be competing with them”. Fifi promised to dedicate the awrd if she wins to ther son, Resego who is 03 years old. There are also few shows in the pipeline which she will perform before the big night.
