Trndza proudly manifested a great inaugural event which was a triumphant debut of the “Manifest Cultural Music Festival” held last weekend, at Carnival City’s Big Top Arena.
This inaugural event, endorsed by SABC 1’s Mzansi fo-sho, delivered an electrifying celebration of South African musical talent, setting a new standard for cultural music festivals in the nation.
The venue came alive with the sounds of a diverse and dynamic lineup, featuring some of South Africa’s most beloved artists who have entertained us thoroughly. Manifest is also a platform that gives back tp the community in the form of a talented visionary known as “Jandas” is who is a music producer and artist from Kwa-Thema . He founded a movement if you like that showcases music in it’s pure art form called “eSjandeni.” This has now culminated in eSjandeni being adopted into the Trndza skills transfer program
that has been setup to support and propel youth to greater heights within the creative sector.
From Dj’s from a popular movement in Ekurhuleni known as “eSjandeni” headed by “Jandas” Festival-goers were treated to mesmerising performances from the likes of Oscar Mbo,
Mthandeni,Handsome Khuthuza, Morda,Mawhoo and Sizwe “Reason” Alakine. Not forgetting Jandas, and Blaq Diamond, among many others.
The energy was palpable as fans immersed themselves in a seamless fusion of genres, showcasing the rich diversity of South African musical heritage. A surprise performance was definitely “Gigi Lamayne” who had fans screaming and moving to every tune of her affectionate song”Amadoda Ayi 4”.
The Manifest Cultural Music Festival was more than just a concert; it was a cultural phenomenon. Trndza aimed to create an experience that transcended typical music events, fostering a sense of community and shared passion for South African artistry. The festival provided a platform for artists to connect with their fans on a deeper level, celebrating the sounds and stories that define the nation’s musical landscape.
