Locnville closes 2014 Spring Celebration at Sun City

Sun City’s Spring Celebration comes to a spectacular crescendo with a closing concert by multi award-winning electro duo, Locnville (LCVL), at the Valley of Waves on Saturday, 25 October 2014. Their show is the “cherry on the top” of eight weeks of rocking music shows, fun and activity.Fans will be treated to a thumping performance featuring songs from their latest album The Odyssey which includes the No.1 single “Desperado” (feat Pascal & Pearce) and the new top 5 single “Dreamcatcher” (feat Tailor). The album also features guest collaborations with Reason, Lakota Silva, Mathew Gold, Pascal & Pearce, Tailor and Ross Jack.

For most South Africans LCNVL needs little introduction. The electro pop music outfit, made up of twin brothers Brian and Andrew Chaplin, have blazed a trail through the local music scene since they released their debut album “Sun in my pocket” in 2010. The album was an outrageous success, peaking at number one on the RISA South African Albums Chart and later winning the twins the award for “Best Newcomer” at the 2010 MK Awards.

Over the past five years, LCNVL has sold over 120 000 physical albums; winning the SAMAs for Best Selling Album and Best Newcomer; touring the world playing alongside the likes of Taio Cruz, Mike Poser and Jason Derulo; and having their music featured on TV ads by huge brands like MTN, Playstation, Supersport and featuring on EA’s top selling FIFA game. Recently, LCVNL was named “Best African act” in a poll ahead of the 2013 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs).This year, Sun International commissioned the brothers to rework their hit, “Sun in my Pocket”, as the jackpot theme song for its new Wide Area Progressive Jackpot, SunStriker, which went live at the group’s 12 South African properties on 23 September.LCNVLEach dedicated bank of SunStriker-themed slots is linked across all of Sun International’s South African casinos so that players around the country can compete for another one of the biggest-paying and fastest-growing jackpots in the land.
