Site Specific is pleased to announce its second Land Art Spring event which will take place at the Johannesburg Botanical Gardens in Emmarentia on the weekend of 31 October – 2 November 2014.
Mohammed Valli Moosa, former Minister for Environmental Affairs and President of the World Conservation Union, will officially open the event on Sunday 2 November at 12 noon.
The 2nd annual Land Art Spring event will build on the overwhelming support that was received from last year’s event that took place in April Emmarentia.
This event also aims to introduce even more people to land art and the unique way in which it integrates culture and nature.
In the interest of raising awareness of environmental issues in a fun and visually interactive way a number of artists have been invited to interact with the natural landscape in the gardens and will begin constructing their land art works from Friday 31 October and visitors will be able to watch them working and see the final works on Sunday.
