According to The Other Foundation’s landmark Size Matters report<\/a>, South Africa’s LGBTQIA+ community contributes an estimated R250 billion to the country’s economy annually, highlighting the significant role queer individuals play as consumers, professionals, entrepreneurs and business leaders. Yet many small businesses still face one universal challenge: being seen, a challenge which one agency is actively trying to solve.<\/p>\n

This Pride Month, The Vibe Media, a local Digital Marketing and Public Relations agency, is taking action, and committing its expertise to helping three LGBTQIA+-owned businesses grow their visibility by providing professional marketing and PR support completely free of charge.<\/p>\n

“Marketing is often viewed as a luxury for small businesses, but in reality it can be a growth engine,” says Martin Headger, Managing Director of The Vibe Media. “A compelling story, a strong brand and the right visibility can establish credibility, open doors to customers, partnerships, investment opportunities and long-term success. We are proud to contribute our expertise to three businesses that are already making a positive impact in their communities.”<\/p>\n

As a queer-owned and led business, The Vibe Media will offer tailored support designed to strengthen their brand presence, improve their marketing effectiveness and help them connect with new audiences. Services may include strategic public relations, media outreach, content development, digital marketing guidance, social media support and brand storytelling.<\/p>\n

“Small businesses are the lifeblood of South Africa’s economy, and visibility is often one of the biggest barriers to growth,” says Martin Headger. “As an agency, we believe marketing should be a catalyst for opportunity. This Pride Month, we want to do more than simply celebrate diversity, we want to invest our time, skills and expertise into helping entrepreneurs tell their stories, reach new customers and build sustainable growth.”<\/p>\n

The Vibe Media believes that when small businesses are given the tools to communicate effectively, build stronger brands and access new markets, the benefits extend far beyond the individual business owner.<\/p>\n
