Constitution Hill, Johannesburg Following a successful first edition, the Mayonie Festival is bringing its second-year celebration to Johannesburg, with music lovers set for a full day of world-class Afro-house and electronic sounds at Constitution Hill on 29 November 2026.<\/p>\n

Founded by South African music heavyweight Zakes Bantwini, the Mayonie Open Air has established itself as a celebration of music, culture and community, bringing together audiences who appreciate the depth, energy and evolution of African electronic music.<\/p>\n

You missed out on the Durban edition a few days ago? Fret not, Johannesburg is next.<\/p>\n

At the centre of this year’s festival experience is an exceptional line-up featuring some of the most respected names in the Afro-house and electronic music space. Da Capo and Enoo Napa will take to the stage for a highly anticipated back-to-back set, bringing together two distinctive musical forces for what promises to be one of the festival’s standout moments.<\/p>\n

They will be joined by Ciza, Oscar Mbo and Themba, adding their own sounds and energy to a line-up designed to take audiences on a journey from day into night. More artists will be announced soon, fans will be on the edge of their seats. The festival promises to be the biggest musical event of the year.<\/p>\n

With Constitution Hill providing the backdrop, Mayonie Open Air is set to create an experience that extends beyond the music. The historic Johannesburg landmark will become a meeting point for music lovers, creatives and culture enthusiasts as the festival celebrates the sounds and talent shaping Africa’s global electronic music movement.<\/p>\n

For Zakes Bantwini and the Mayonie team, this year\u2019s festival is all about growth and expansion, taking fans on a journey.<\/p>\n

\u201cMayonie is about bringing people together through music and creating a space where we can celebrate who we are, where we come from and where African music is going,\u201d says Zakes Bantwini. \u201cWe were just in Durban, we’re excited about Johannesburg and give our audience an experience they won’t forget.\u201d<\/p>\n

With its carefully curated line-up, iconic setting and commitment to celebrating African music and culture, the Mayonie Open Air Johannesburg is shaping up to be one of the city’s key music events of the year.<\/p>\n

The Mayonie Open Air takes place on Sunday 29 November 2026 at Constitution Hill, Johannesburg.<\/p>\n
