The highly anticipated Gauteng Walk 2025 is set to take place on Saturday, 22 November 2025, at Joburg Zoo, Johannesburg. This landmark provincial event will bring together thousands of South Africans from all walks of life under one unifying theme — “Together we can, Together we change.
Organised by Mzansi Act Now, in partnership with Joburg City Parks & Zoo, YFM, Money Care, Fantide, the Gauteng Provincial Government, Better Man 4 Tomorrow campaign, SANAC Men’s Sector and various civil society and corporate partners, the Gauteng Walk is more than just a fitness event — it’s a movement for awareness, healing, and transformation.
The walk aims to promote health and mental wellness, challenge harmful gender norms while encouraging South Africans to promote and create safe spaces in. South Africa.
A MOVEMENT FOR IMPACT
The event will feature a 5KM and 8KM route, allowing both walkers and runnersto participate in an inclusive, family-friendly environment. Along the way, participants will experience a powerful sense of unity as they journey through Johannesburg’s scenic and historic landmarks — a symbol of resilience and collective action.
The Gauteng Walk also provides a platform for community dialogue, advocacy, and celebration through its Wellness Village,
offering free health screenings, entertainment, and educational exhibits aimed at promoting physical and mental well-being.
CORPORATE & COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION
Companies, government departments, and community organizations are encouraged to take part by registering teams and supporting the initiative. Corporate packages are available, offering discounted group tickets and brand exposure opportunities that align with Corporate Social Investment (CSI), employee wellness, and gender equality programmes.
