SAMA award-winning music duo, Die Campbells, have been confirmed as part of the sizzling line-up of top SA artists performing at the 2014 Spring Celebration at The Sun City Resort. The band, Die Campbells, is made-up of brothers Tony and Harry who will perform their unique brand of country, pop and sokkie music at the beach party at The Valley of Waves on Friday 3rd and 10th October.They’ve promised to play all the fantastic oldies and new hits which have made them famous over the last 13 years. Songs like “Bietjie Bietjie Lam”, “Vat My Vas”, “Sewe Soene”, “Mamma Maria”” and “Rooi Rok Bokkie”. With their friendly and approachable demeanors and enigmatic stage presence, their show is certain to be fantastic entertainment.
Born in Cape Town, the brothers learned a lot about music and a variety of musical instruments from a very young age. In 2000, they signed with Select Music and took the South African market by storm with their single “Rooi Rok Bokkie”. Many albums and DVD’s later, Die Campbells have established themselves as South Africa’s favourite duo and they have sold more than a million albums. In 2010, Die Campbells won the 2010 SAMA with their album Mamma Maria for the Best Sokkie Dans Album. This well deserved award cemented their place within theSouth African music industry.
Spring Celebration 2014 takes place from 1 September to 25 October 2014, with a dazzling line-up of artists and bands performing over the eight week period.
