Communication is the key to success on any level and with the fast increasing pace of technology today, people are reading less and watching more. From the successful online YouTube video to the skype conference, capturing your audience is about being animated, making your point quickly and effectively and increasing the value of your speech. In this day, we need to teach people what they need to know in the shortest time possible, and leave a lasting impression that they can recommend it to others.
Using communication as a tool in the workplace has many aspects to it. From a professional speaker on a subject of special interest to a teacher or tutor of students, it’s all about the ability to capture your audience and holding them captive until you are ready to release them.
At the Speakers University 2017, delegates from all walks of life and communication industry sectors are invited to join leaders in this field on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth. Taking your career, whether a teacher, Executive in People Management, trainer or professional speaker, to a new level of skill and understanding.
The exhilarating line up for 2017 kicks off with a keynote address by the cream of the crop, Billy Selekane (Author, Internationally acclaimed Inspirational Keynote Speaker, Personal, Team and Organizational Effectiveness Specialist).
He will be followed by the best of our seasoned speakers such as: Nimrod Nkosi (Media personality, actor, best known as “Lotto man”), Bonsai Shongwe (Bestselling author; highly sought after inspirational/topical speaker), Gerry Elsdon (television presenter, host, MC, and businesswoman), Abner Mariri (Educationalist, Transformation and development consultant, Hollywood actor).
We then move onto a panel discussion with some of our leading communicators in their field including Zanele Mamba (Head of Marketing: Joburg Property Company) and Matona Sakupwanya (General Manager: Marketing and Communications – Innovation Hub)
The Speakers University 2017 is not just another “chalk and Talk” seminar, it’s an interactive and powerful experience where delegates are taught to become leading communicators in their field.
Speakers University 2017 will host more than 500 delegates again this year – composed of Senior Executives, Entrepreneurs, HR Professionals, Salespeople, Communicators, Media Presenters, Middle and Junior Managers, amongst others.
“The ability to communicate clearly, powerfully and convincingly is a vital skill for any manager, entrepreneur and executive. We have the rare occasion when SA’s best communicators can be under one roof to share the secrets that have elevated them as communicators. Being able to host these leaders is a true honour for us”, says Empowaworx Events and Communications managing director, Mr Simphiwe Masiza.
Empowaworx is the first black owned and managed speaker’s bureau representing SA’s top speakers, MC’s and comedians. This annual event is set to begin a trend of SA greats being at the forefront of enhancing the communication acumen of SA executives, managers and leaders.
