The countdown to the year’s biggest music event continues to elevate as Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa have officially dropped the final surprise for Betway Presents Scorpion Kings Live with Friends, in partnership with Metro FM and Converse, happening Friday, 29 August 2025 at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, Pretoria.
After weeks of unveiling a powerhouse lineup through
their Meet Our Friends series, the Kings have teased a fifth bonus episode to announce none other than African megastar Davido. The multi-award-winning Afrobeats icon will join them, bringing his global hits and electric stage presence to Loftus Versfeld in
front of thousands of fans.
“Davido is family. Having him with us makes this a truly
continental moment,” said DJ Maphorisa. Kabza De Small added, “We’ve built this lineup to be history-making – and Davido is the perfect final piece.”

legendary South African composer and musician Caiphus Semenya. In a special moment on 29 August, Caiphus Semenya will be honoured live at the show, cementing the event not only as a festival of music, but as a celebration of African artistry across generations.
Fans can also expect a remix from the Kings on one of
Semenya’s timeless songs – a reimagining that blends the richness of South African musical heritage with the pulse of today’s Amapiano.
The main stage will feature a genre-spanning roster of
stars, including Ami Faku, Aymos, Bontle Smith, Cassper Nyovest, Daliwonga, Davido, Focalistic, Kamo Mphela, Kwesta, Mafikizolo, Mawhoo, Mlindo The Vocalist, Msaki, Mthunzi, Njelic, Nkosazana Daughter, Nokwazi, Oskido, Phila Dlozi, Ricky Lenyora, Sizwe Alakine,
Sjava, Thatohatsi, Tracy, Uhuru, Umthakathi Kush, Uncool MC, and Young Stunna, alongside the Scorpion Kings.
Kicking off the celebration early, the pre-show stage
will keep fans moving with performances from 25K, Ba Bethe Ga Shoazen, Banques, Blxckie, Christos, DBN Gogo, Dihno, Dlala Thukzin, Venom, and Vinny Da Vinci, creating a full-day music experience before the main event.
Davido’s inclusion, the tribute to Caiphus Semenya, and
