Chinese Telecom companies descended on the South African soil for the Africa Tech Festival, which happened on the 12 to 14 November 2024. The festival attracted over 15 000 attendees and also over 300 exhibitors. Africa Tech Festival continues to grow in stature, hence the Chinese want to expand its footprint in the African market.
South African Minister of Communications and digital technology Solly Malatsi called for united efforts to advance Africa’s digital future. The Minister was speaking at the official opening ceremony on Tuesday. The festival has been the forum for conversations, connections, and celebration for the past 27 years.
It explores how innovation is addressing humanity’s most pressing challenges while elevating African tech onto the global stage.
