Lace up your trainers, even if you’re into spectator sport! It is going to be a mad dash to the finish line with Budget Rent a Car and Budget Van Rental moving runners along the MAD2Run race.

As the official vehicle sponsor of the race, Budget Rent a Car and Budget Van Rental is committed to supporting running, an increasingly popular sport in South Africa. Running also speaks to Budget’s support of embracing a healthy lifestyle while having fun.

If you think crossing the finish line first is a great feeling, supporting a good cause feels a whole lot better.

The MAD2Run race is an annual charity event. All money raised will be donated to the MAD (Make a difference) Leadership Foundation. The foundation focuses on leadership development through education. It identifies and supports academically talented scholars, who do not have the necessary financial resources, in the areas of education, leadership and life-skills development.

This year, the race will take place from 7 to 14 April. The race is a seven-day long relay-style running adventure from Johannesburg to Cape Town with two teams of 12 runners embracing the journey.

The MAD2Run race is no mean feat, with each runner running roughly 200km. To make the run smoother, Budget Rent a Car will be sponsoring vehicles to follow the runners while Budget Van Rental will provide shuttle and transport vehicles.

“We are honoured to be involved with the MAD2Run relay. The sponsorship will go a long way to better the lives of the children of South Africa. We are in the business of driving experiences, and knowing that the money raised from the race is going to a charity that seeks to educate future leaders is an experience we invite everyone to share in,” says Rainer Gottschick, Chief Executive for Budget southern Africa.
So, get into gear, support our kids and experience the gift of giving.
