The Colonel’s couch journey started on the sandy shores of KZN in December 2015 our journey continued through to Tukkies in Pretoria, the scenic Stellenbosch University, Campus Square, UCT and we ended our journey off in the Maboneng precinct.
Throughout the Colonel’s couch tour, fans have had various opportunities to interact with the couch and the KFC brand in unique and exciting ways. The couch has taken on different themes, such as Couch of champions, Musical couch and Couchstagram. Fans have had opportunities to win various exciting prizes for their participation along the way and saving the best for last with the incredible final prize of an all-inclusive trip for four to Mauritius. Saturday saw teams of four get together to do a scavenger hunt around Maboneng in search for 20 iconic landmarks. Participants travelled over 15kms, uploaded over 20 images of historic landmarks to the social media platform, Instagram and they got an opportunity to view Maboneng in all its glory, by foot and had great fun doing so. The landmarks ranged from murals the size of buildings, to images painted on the floor. With a close finish, Team NASA from Johannesburg won the grand prize of a trip for four to Mauritius.
