Earlier this year, Cadbury asked South Africans what kind of millionaire they would be if they were lucky enough to win R1 million in cash.
This life changing question has just become a reality for Mellini Naidoo who was announced as the Cadbury Raise the Bar grand prize winner on 16th May 2017.
By her own admission, Mellini, who resides in Durban is a huge fan of Cadbury chocolates. “I could not believe my luck when I received the call!” said Mellini. “When I was told the news that I was the final winner, I was almost brought to tears and thanked God that this has happened to me!”

So the question on everyone’s mind is what is she going to do with the million? After a few deep breaths, Mellini explained that she will donate a portion of her winnings to her community church and donate a few blankets and clothes to the poor to keep them warm this winter. When asked about the rest of the money she laughed and explained, “I will keep it close by until I know what to do with it”.
More so, what made this competition stand out was that the Cadbury Raise the Bar R1 Million prize includes the support from an accredited Financial Advisor to assist the winner with managing the money.
The Cadbury Raise the Bar competition was also supported by the Cadbury Wrapper Flapper activation, which travelled around South Africa giving consumers a chance to win instant cash and airtime.
