For the first time in the Supreme Fight League’s (SFL) history, eight incredible and highly-skilled Kickboxers will battle it out, one by one, in an action-packed elimination tournament! On the 30th of March 2019, these top kickboxers will be competing for the Light Middle Weight Tournament Title Belt. The winner of each fight will go through to the next round, while the loser will be eliminated. All eight of these fighters are determined and focused to become the first SFL Tournament Champion, so expect a night of non-stop thrilling action!
Morné Lotter, a well-known Kickboxing expert and gym owner teamed up with Marius Lotter, a seasoned businessman and together they founded SFL in 2017. Morné, a Director and Talent Manager of SFL, said that “SFL is committed to continuously providing opportunities for Kickboxers to compete at a high level“ adding that “This fight card is stacked with diverse fighting talent, we will see top ranked fighters take each other on in the most anticipated event yet.”
This event promises to keep you entertained from start to finish! With a total of 13 fights on this SFL fight card, expect non-stop Kickboxing action! Match-ups for the 8-man tournament will be drawn randomly at the weigh-ins. Support your favourite Kickboxer as they clash against the other 7 highly skilled Super-Am fighters from across the country.

In between the tournament fights, to ensure recovery time for our athletes, there will be exciting Amateur and Pro match-ups such as: Patrick “God of War” Luindula VS Damian “The Omen” Schultz. Both of these fighters have impressive amateur records and are making their debut as professional K1 fighters. You will also get to see professional K1 fighters Rami “Pitbull” Mungul and Henny “The Pain” Mathekgane compete against each other. If their fight history is anything to go by, this one will have the crowd on their feet!
Former World Champion and SA TV Star, Paul Rothmann will fight against Karl “Baywatch” Bergemann. Bergemann is the current South African K1 Champion with solid experience in the fighting game. Plus – the highly anticipated fight between renowned fighters, Danie “Pitbull” Van Heerden and Tumelo “The Truck” Maphutha will also take place at SFL 05. Danie, a former Heavy Weight Champion in MMA, and Tumelo, a former K1 Champion will both be making their comebacks at SFL 05.
Who will be able to fight their way to the top and become the first SFL Tournament Champion? Make sure that you are there on the 30th of March at the Rivonia Barnyard Theatre to witness a new chapter in SFL history.
All Supreme Fight League events are sanctioned by the South African Kickboxing Association (SAKA) and all officials are regulated and supplied by SAKA.
