SNEKE CHILLERS FC BRINGS ON THE HEAT AT THE 2018 DWSSC

Soweto – With temperatures reaching highs of up to 31 degrees in Johannesburg, day 5
of the 2018 Discovery Walter Sisulu Soccer Challenge brought plenty of heat for
spectators.
The sunny weather conditions saw the community of Soweto show up in their numbers to
a packed Nike Centre where teams such as Sneke Chillers FC delivered entertainment
and goals galore.
Snake Park based, Sneke Chillers FC displayed great football against their opponents
Young Blood F.C as they lashed them 5-1. The team continued their winning streak in
the tournament, having won their first game against Selecao on Sunday.
Sifiso “Messi” Sithole, who had an impressive day at the office was an integral part
of the game as he scored 2 spectacular goals for the club. “This is my first time
playing for Sneke Park Chillers F.C in the Discovery Soccer Challenge. I stared
playing for the club early this year as it is a great way to keep fit. I’m
currently playing for the Bidvest Wits Reserve team; however, I’m focusing on
winning the Discovery Soccer Challenge with Sneke Park Chillers F.C this year. We
have been on a winning streak so we want to continue doing our best.”
Coach of Sneke Chillers, Oscar Mohola has been leading the team for the past 8
years. “When we started the club, it was a way of ensuring the boys in Snake Park
stay out of situations that are not good for them. We have established a culture for
these boys on how to conduct themselves on and off the field as well as respecting
everything they do. They need to make sure that they keep the positive attitude in
the tournament.”, the coach stated
Fan favorites and 2017 runner-ups, Senaone Gunners is in for a challenging
encounter, as they look to register their first win in the tournament against
Pimville giants, Hicare FC on day 6. Hicare FC will go into the game with plenty of
confidence after beating Pimville Young Stars 2-1 in an exciting Pimville derby on
day 4.
