OUMA LAUNCHES LIMITED EDITION PACKS TO CELEBRATE GRANDPARENT’S DAY
To celebrate Grandparents Day this October, OUMA, South Africa’s most loved rusk brand, has introduced new limited-edition packs, showcasing some of the common names that South Africans use to reference their grandmothers including Gogo, Gran, Nana and Nani.
The limited-edition packs form part of a comprehensive Grandparents Day campaign, that OUMA has launched to recognize these stalwarts of our communities and reinforce the special connections we have with our grandparents.
‘’No matter how you refer to your grandparents, we wanted to remind people of the powerful impact grandparents have had on our lives, not just on this one day but throughout the year. Grandparents Day is the ideal opportunity to celebrate our grandparents by sharing in experiences and what better way than to spend time together than over tea and rusks and enjoy a special #dippingtime moment’’, says Nerina Singh, Assistant Brand Manager, Ouma Rusks.
While one side of the limited-edition packs will be rebranded with these different variations of what many people call their grandmothers, fans don’t need to worry, the original OUMA branding that has become a recognisable South African icon in many households, will still be displayed on the other side of the pack.
The campaign also features local personalities; Minki van der Westhuizen, Kriya Gangiah, Jonathan Boynton-Lee and Bahumi Mhlongo, who have recorded special Grandparents Day messages and reminiscences, which will be shared as the campaign kicks off.
’’It just makes so much sense that OUMA Rusks celebrates OUMA’s”, says Minki.
Look out for the limited edition OUMA packs – now available in-store nationwide.
