The Most Promising Athlete category has been renamed The RandWest Most Promising Athlete.
The category was previously announced as Most Promising Athlete, but now is sponsored by the RandWest City. ‘Investing in the youth and the future of sport is a priority to us the people of RandWest and we are proud to be associated with the RandWest Most Promising Athlete category,’ remarked mayor of RandWest Mzi Khumalo.

Added Khumalo: ‘It only makes sense that we would be backing the RandWest Most Promising Athlete category because it’s important to spot young talent and groom it for tomorrow’s legends as we have done in the past.’
