The Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS) SOC Limited calls all youth innovators to be a part of their prestigious AVI Afrique 2017 Awards Ceremony, which is taking place in Johannesburg, on 25 October 2017. Contestants from all over South Africa can enter and stand a chance to be crowned for their innovative excellence in the aviation sector.

There are five different categories this year, so whether you are a scientist, researcher, budding entrepreneur journalist, industry professional, university student or high school learner, this is your chance to show the world your skills and gain recognition for your innovations. The categories are as follows:

• Student innovator: Strictly for 18 years and above and still studying
• Emerging innovator: Independent innovator not working for any research institution or university
• Professional innovator: Working within an institution or involved in a research environment
• Organisations: Any organisation including research and educational institutions
• Media: Journalists with an interest in aviation

We would be most appreciative if you could assist us with an interview sometime next week or any day closer to the event to extend an invitation to this event to the public.
