Karabo shares his untold story through song
It was a beautiful evening of nostalgia, emotion and powerful singing as Karabo Mogane took to the stage at Club Neh in Malboro South, Sandton, last night .
Hosted by radio and television personality Dineo Ranaka, the Idols SA winner delivered an impressive and intimate Unplugged set of songs from his latest album Matters of the Heart accompanied by a six piece band.
Karabo took his exclusive audience on a journey of his life through song opening up about the trials and tribulations he encountered, successes and triumphs as well as his personal battles over the years.
Tracks like Ngifuna Lo and Khakhathi sent the revellers into a tizz while heartfelt Lerato and Sondela provided some tender moments.
The mellow and sexy Midnight Hour as well as the sultry Ngithandile went down well with the discerning music crowd.
He also performed his emotive anti-women and children abuse song for the first time.
“Last night was truly special. I was honoured to have an audience of people of that calibre who are respected and achievers in their own rights,” he says.
“It was great to feed off their energy and I’m happy with the response me and my band got from the musical buffet we laid out. This was validation that I’m on the right track and I can tell you now that there is more to come from me. Thank you to all who came out and to the generous sponsors who made the evening possible.”
The handpicked audience last night was served with delightful drinks from Bombay Gin.
Karabo has been making strides in his career and television viewers will see him take part in Tropika Island of Treasure alongside several other South African celebrities.
He will also get behind the mic on UJFM as the host of the Sunday afternoon show 2pm to 6pm starting on November 5.
Karabo has also secured a vehicle sponsorship with CMH Kempster Ford Hatfield.
There is no stopping Karabo from stamping his authority in the game. Watch out for more from this dynamic and driven performer.
